Not Tonight Deer – Understanding Deer Resistant Gardening

February 7 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

$20.00
Deer Resistant

Gardening with deer presents a unique set of challenges. Those of us familiar with the battle know how difficult it can be to have a beautiful garden in deer territory. The furry buggers seem to know exactly which plants are our favorites, don’t they? Are you fed up with your garden being munched by the local deer herd?  Have you purchased beautiful nursery plants only to have them munched to the ground overnight?  Then you may want to attend this discussion on deer resistant plants and the many ways (some successful and some not) to keep those “bambis” away from your landscaping and garden.  Learn the favorite plants to keep in enclosed fenced yard areas.  Learn what is in those sprays that help keep deer off your plants, learn about the plants that are rarely browsed by deer and where to find them. Our Speaker will discuss defensive barrier techniques and active deterrents as well.  In addition, we can share the many anecdotal stories of home remedies to keep deer away from your favorites.
